Advisory Board
The Advisory Board (AB) serves as a consulting and evaluating body to the Executive Committee (EC). It plays an advisory and supervisory role in the programme and consists of external representatives from academia, business, politics and civil society engaging with Africa and being equipped with proven expertise on the core disciplinary and topical foci of the programme as well as the EACEA thus representing a diverse body of experts on Africa as well as a cross section of society.
The AB consists of the following five voting members and permanent attendees:
- Vava Angwenyi, Founder Vava Coffee Limited
- Aïcha Bah Diallo, former Minister of Education in Guinea
- Dr. Helmut Blumbach, former Director DAAD Regional Office for Africa
- Prof. Dr. Judite Medina do Nascimento, Rector of the University of Cape Verde
The AB offers advice and recommendations to the EC on a regular basis, serves as the central controlling unit of the project and also supports quality assurance through its operations.
