I’m Konstantinos Maragkos, Co-founder & CEO of Youthmakers Hub, a non-profit organization based in Athens that empowers young people and fosters collaboration between Europe and Africa. My journey has been guided by a passion for education, intercultural dialogue, and social impact.
I hold a BA in Classics from the University of Athens, an Erasmus Mundus Joint MSc in Tourism Management (Universities of Southern Denmark, Ljubljana, Girona), and an Erasmus Mundus Joint MA in African Studies (Universities of Porto, Bayreuth, Bordeaux-Montaigne), supported by a full scholarship from the European Commission. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with more than ten universities worldwide, including the University of Vienna and the University of Cape Coast in Ghana.
In 2018, I co-founded WE AfriHug, a grassroots initiative designed to strengthen Africa–Europe mobility and partnerships. Inspired by its impact, we later co-founded Youthmakers Hub (YMH) in 2019, which has since grown into a multi-award-winning organization involved in projects worth over €16M. Our work focuses on capacity building, youth empowerment, and communications, aiming to create opportunities and practical solutions that respond to real community needs.
Through these experiences, I’ve been fortunate to contribute to projects across Europe, Africa, and beyond, reaching young people in diverse contexts—from rural Uganda to urban Ghana. Along the way, I’ve learned that collaboration, adaptability, and shared vision are key to driving sustainable change.
Looking ahead, my focus is on expanding Youthmakers Hub’s role in connecting continents, strengthening partnerships, and supporting initiatives under Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, EuropeAid, and other international schemes.
At heart, I am a lifelong learner, deeply inspired by the creativity and resilience of young people, and committed to building bridges that bring communities closer together.
