Nino Tandilashvili
I am Nino Tandilashvili, from Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in the European Interdisciplinary Master African Studies (EIMAS) program and I am truly honored to be a part of it. With an academic background in international relations and a major in Middle Eastern studies from the Free University of Georgia, I have developed a deep interest in global security, religion, and the political landscape of the Islamic world.
During my Bachelor's studies, I focused extensively on the Middle East and North Africa, regions that have always captivated my attention due to their complex sociopolitical dynamics. I also studied Arabic, further enhancing my understanding of the cultural and religious intricacies of these regions. Throughout my studies, my academic focus centered on the impact of terrorism, particularly how it affects people and society, which led me to explore the role of religion and security issues.
In addition to my academic work, I gained practical experience through internships in various organizations. These opportunities have allowed me to develop essential skills in project management, analysis, and research, which I now apply to my ongoing studies.
Currently, I am concentrating on the activities of Boko Haram, a terrorist organization operating in Nigeria, and the profound impact of their actions on displaced people and communities. My goal is to contribute to a deeper understanding of these issues through my research.
